The Sparks Marina Park is the site for the annual 'Paddle, Pedal, Patter' Kids Triathlon. The race is designed to introduce boys and girls ages 12 and younger to the exciting sport of triathlon in a non-competitive environment.
Most triathlons traditionally feature swimming, biking and running courses. The line up for this event includes a unique twist with the addition of a choice of kayaking, water walking or swimming for the first leg of the race.
Following the water portion of the race, participants bike 1.8 miles around the Marina. The last segment of the race features a .2 mile running course along the peninsula.
Family and friends are welcome on the course to cheer on the kids. Parents are also encouraged to join their children for the biking portion of the event.

Thank you to all who participated in 2009 and a special thanks to Reno Mountain Sports.
