REMINDER: SPARKS SEEKS APPOINTMENTS FOR ARGUMENT COMMITTEES FOR PROPOSED 2010 GENERAL ELECTION PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY QUESTION

Sparks, NV - The Sparks City Clerk is seeking interested Sparks residents to serve on the Argument Committees for the SPARKS GENERAL ELECTION 2010 PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY QUESTION.   
 
One committee must be composed of three persons who favor approval by the voters of the Public Safety Advisory Question.  The other committee shall comprise of three persons who oppose approval by voters of the Public Safety Advisory Question.  The question proposes a quarter cent sales tax increase in the City of Sparks to provide for more police officers and law enforcement resources.
 
Candidates must have the availability to work with the Sparks Clerk's Office between 8 a.m. and  5 p.m. on July 8 and 9, 2010.  Additional hours during the week of July 12, 2010 will also be required.
 
Interested individuals should contact the Sparks City Clerk's Office no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at (775) 353-2350 or by responding on-line through a community service application by logging onto www.cityofsparks.us, clicking "GOVERNING," followed by "Boards/Commissions," followed by "Volunteer Application."
